Enough of teasing, FJ. Give us a hint of the location that a moron could figure out.

You know those photos that actually invoke an aroma in your mind - the same one that greets us when we walk into our own garages? That of Gasoline and grease, of old books, leather, and a hint of dust? Yeah... Paradise.

Thanks for saying that Susanne. It's true but sometimes I hate to admit how much I enjoy that.

Do you ever get all this stuff out and enjoy it or does it just sit in your garage and collect dust ??

Hehehe! Willie...
Susanne, you are so right. Ya can almost smell the shop!
My kids like the smell of the grudge and of the old motor-grader running.
FJ, don't say a thing. I know you won't.

FJ, you've been awfully close to my little world if you grabbed that shot of the old fire truck holding that huge flag!
You've captured some gorgeous images.

I always get a kick out of the boat with the skeleton with the huge chain and anchor in the middle of the desert whenever I drive by to pick up parts from L.A. There is a gentleman near there with a beautiful collection of antique cars along with several V12 Cadillacโs and other antique cars in his barn. Unfortunately he is old and can barely move, has all the bay doors open and dust half inch thick on all of the beautiful cars, tires flat and everything rusting away. He is happy to show you everything but wonโt sell anything, he said he doesnโt need the money. It is a shame these cars are hidden and not shared with Enthusiasts so we could continue the hobby. There are many model Tโs and Aโs in barns and garages in the towns around where I live but most are also hidden and most people do not know about them. By the way, I rode in that car of Ms. Montanaโs and it is a dream. One of these days I have to go back there and change the tires on her model T roadster that I started two years ago. F.J. sure has some fantastic pictures and most likely a tale to go with each one. Keep on posting Jim. Frank

An Englishman At The End Of A Journey
Posted: Sat Sep 19, 2020 5:09 am
by FreighTer Jim
Three years ago - an Englishman completed a trip
across the lower (48) states in the Seattle, WA area.
I called my friend KD in Long Beach, CA to ask if he
knew where a 1924 Model T could be stored for awhile
until passage to England could be arranged.
KD offered his backyard
So I reached out & offered free transport to KDโs.
Brass Car Guy ( Howard ) had been Timโs host
for a few days - he took Tim and I for fish & chips
before I drove Tim to his hotel room by the airport.
That was an interesting day
