Wierd bolt attn blacksmith era not t but old

Cleaning up shop and found a few of these nice bolts about 7/16 thread ABOUT 1" Long it has a blacksmith swinging a hammer at an anvil, has anyone ever seen or know what it fits? thank you, Bob

I believe those are saw handle bolts. I have seen them before but do not remember where.

Possibly to secure a handle on a crosscut or rip saw.
Seems like I have seen something similar,

I believe that is the logo for "Village Blacksmith" tools I think they were around in the late sixties into the seventies. Jim

When I take my grandchildren to Philadelphia (a family tradition), we always visit the Art Museum. Mostly because of the "Rocky Steps." They have a whole gallery devoted to medieval armor. Suits of armor, swords, etc. I have noticed that parts of the suits of armor are held together by threaded studs and wing nuts. I have often wondered how they cut those threads! Especially inside the wing nuts! Any ideas?

They were probably a red hot slug forged around a hardened threaded rod then cooled and unscrewed from the rod. This type of work being done by a Smithy. Jim
