Just would like to see the results. I know some of you say "just use all steel plates in the transmission the way the factory built them'. There are others who want a more positive neutral without having to be a master T mechanic and fine tune a transmission, so, for those not using all steel plates, what is your preference: Turbo 400 style discs, or Watts/Jack Rabbit type discs?

Bands? Cotton (Scandinavia), or Kevlar? (not considering wood or anything else)

My Betsy came to me with a Jack Rabbit clutch. I have no complaints about it. It is "grabby" compared to the stock all-steel clutch, so I have to ease it into high instead of letting the pedal "snap" up.

I have a Watts clutch on the shelf if the Jack Rabbit ever gives out. Sorry, it isn't for sale. :)

Just a little food for thought here...

Survey results can be biased. They are the opinions of people who answer surveys...

Opinions are obvious, and if a
person likes what he has, they can be biased, but that kind of information is what I wanted to hear and read. I have my opinions and biases, too. I just wanted to see how many owners thought along my lines.

I rebuild several T's a year. always fit and recommend modern clutch packs to the owners. I push T's in and out of the shop every day to get working room, something that is not easy with the original clutch when one is a senior :(

That’s what I tell telephone surveys...

The answer here is:
-Kevlar bands
-New ductile iron low drum
-Original Ford reverse and brake drums are okay if in good condition.
-Original Stock Ford clutches that have been properly cleaned, inspected, and qualified.
-Original clutch spring that tests 95#’s or better at 2” compression.
