I get feeds from Aumann auctions but rarely look at them, most are too far away. Can you post a link to the auction it was in?

It was there pre 30 auction yesterday. Not savy enough to post the link.

I'm guessing it plays out like this. Serious collectors at a tractor/engine sale. Chips on a pile waiting to buy a big prairie tractor. Can't wait to take the grandkids on a ride. Oops! Pile not even close. Disappointed! Wait, cool old car! Can haul grandkids and their friends. Fun factor played into the price of the hack in a big way unless I'm missing something.

I'll bet you nailed it. That was likely a consolation prize.

Looks like some really good stuff. I would have thought maybe an original station wagon body for that price, but she looked to be well done, and if you pay yourself any wage, you couldn’t make one for that. I think original bodies have been sometimes underrated for a long time, but not always. If you read this article, the new owner afterwards gave it a nice preservation, and I for one am glad it wasn’t restored.

It's hard to believe that the 1912 Twin Cities Tractor went for $320,000! All the prices seemed very high. Must have been a lot of deep-pocket collectors there. A lot of those guys don't like to lose.

Pssstt. Bill. Ssshhh. They're Twin City tractors. Don't tell anyone.

I won't.
That 15 sold for way more than anticipated but it is a 15. Pretty elusive. Easier to tip over.
Lots O big money there!
