1914 Cowl lamp issue. How to fix this?

I was putting the shiny stuff back on my early 14 and came across this

All 4 pins on both cowl lamps are the same.
They are FORD victor Model 2 lamps

Now what??

Cut it off, drill it out get a piece of brazing rod and solder it in place. I went a bit longer on mine and filed it to fit. Wasn’t very difficult but in took two tries before I was happy.

Thanks David. I think Mark has a good fix. I've never had to but sounds like it would work fine. A soldering iron would be better than an open flame if there are kerosene fumes inside.

Thanks, I didnt think of brazing rod. Now to give myself a refresher course on planning carefully.
