Model T Off Road Champion

I was watching Great Cars: The Model T Ford ( https://youtu.be/mon6kfQAgUg ) and around 12:10 there’s a few clips of the Model T performing some driving feats, including a screenshot I attached. This is one on several videos of conditions I couldn’t imagine driving the T on now. As I watched the Model T go down the embankment, it was a wonder of its capabilities. I would think trying that maneuver today would result in wood spokes bursting into splinters and a guaranteed rollover.

So, are the capabilities of the T beyond the timid heart of the modern driver used to such good road conditions? Could our Ts take on such an embankment like a champ? Or would you think a 100 year old T may be like a 100 year old man? Wiser, slower, and not apt to do the dumb things it could when it was younger?

Many who have driven Speedsters have found out what a Model T will do off road. I drove my racer like a madman and had lots of situations similar to that which I wouldn't want to do again. I bet a fellow with a Bronco he couldn't follow me for 15 minutes in sagebrush and lava's. It made a believer out of him. Eventually something will bend or break. It's also very dangerous and I probably shouldn't describe any further. I will mention that two of us in T racers pulled up alongside a four wheeled drive Toyota that was stuck in the mud. We asked if he wanted us to pull him out. He gave us a dirty look. To be fair, we had pulled up on higher, dryer ground or we would have been stuck. Momentum and ground clearance are the main advantage. Also the flexibility of the chassis help.
Don't get me started.

Unfortunately there was little time to get photos of the good stuff.
