You meet the nicest people with a Model T.

Post by Dallas Landers » Tue Jul 14, 2020 8:22 pm

Today I met two people for the 1st time. Jay Bolante and Hank Lee. Jay has a very nice C cab TT and live about 45 minutes from me. Hank came to pick up his sail boat. He brought me some goodies for the TT and it didnt take me long to put him to work.

All the photos of Hank was with his head down working on something.

Yup Hank with his head down working.

Yup.
I have talked many many times with Hank and know I can call him for advise on any problems I run into on these T's. We had a nice visit and he headed for dim dar hills with his sailboat. Jay is a super nice guy and he has a TT so we got along great. The guy with the curley hair and shiny top is my buddy Gary. Thank you Hank and Jay for a great day.

Ain't anything better than your day!
A boat motor, a trailer tire and model T parts on the yard! Very cool.
:)
There are lakes down there?
Hey! Your pics are right-side up! Cool.

Always good to meet new T people and put faces to the name on the forum. :D
Jay was here a few months ago and bought a low honeycomb radiator from me. Nice fellow, gave him the $0.50 tour.
Hopefully I will get to meet Hank sometime.

Knew it.... So the guy I call with questions has a guy he calls with questions.

I'm not to far away, when they were done at your house you should have sent them over to my house to fix some stuff on my TTs.

Dallas, tell the truth! We could not be left alone without double adult supervision, ie, Jay and Gary!

Great Day! Never really meet strangers, just new friends!

Radial power as backup engine on the sail boat Hank?

Agree with you Dallas, Hank and I have recently had some really great conversations as of late. Truly a wealth of knowledge.

That sounds like a wonderful time.
I have noticed the "meeting of the nicest people in a Model T" for the last 56 years now. It just gets better and better. Some wear masks now.
Thanks for the report.
Rich
When did I do that?

No Herb but I wish. That is really cool. Looks like cast scroll supports for cab in upper door area. The oval windows with the brow is a great detail. The soft side bed and straps on the hood, love it.

Hank brought me some nice L bracket cab supports for my next TT project. I had to make the ones for the Marti Parry cab.
I find it odd that one side of the front of the cab is straight and the other is not. I would say its been in sevice for some time.

Dallas,

You keep hitting the send button not waiting for it to take, and you wonder why parts in all those places of "STASH" keep growing! Dad says.,, "Be careful.., Model T parts you will swear are breeding like rats in the barn with a lot of twins, triplets, quads...,"
