Hello Guys.
Today we watched a very good show on the History Channel about Henry Ford. Some footage I haven’t seen before
which was surprising! The footage showed Edsel unveiling a plaque that read “this is the site of the birthplace of the Ford Motor
Vehicle”It appeared to be a newish building with walls highly polished greyish stone. Edsel removed the US Flag to reveal the plaque. It’s a similar design to the one at Piquette reading the home of the Model T
Could this have been Mack Avenue or the original home where the Ford’s lived (Bagley Ave?)
Appreciate and clues as to where it is.

Chances are it was The Piquette Plant.

Ford Motor Company’s first purpose built plant.

In my trailer this morning ....

This 1904 Ford Model B Serial # 51-52.

The only known Ford Model B assembled
at The Piquette Plant with an original
engine - transmission - rear differential
that runs and drives.

Only necessary repairs have been done.

I am stopping in Flagstaff, Arizona today
so some Model T folks can view it in person.

I will also be stopping in:

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Richmond, Indiana

Hey Jim.
How about doing one extra stop at my home in Western Australia.!!
I have been to Piquette Ave Plant when visiting Detroit a few years back but believe that plaque maybe at the
Ford’s “Kitchen Bench” Home on Bagley Ave. Our “Ford Guide” must have missed that significant site but we did go
to Joy Ave where the Graves are and most other attractions. Alan

Have found out that it’s the Michigan building opened in 1926.
The address will sound familiar being 220 Bagley Avenue. Henry & Clara’s Home
and where the Quadricycle and Kitchen Bench Engine were built.
It really is the home of the Ford Motor Car!
