Kind of rare, 1st one I have seen, just wondering how common is the ring gear with 44 teeth? Bob

I have never seen one, but the thought occurs to me that coupled with a 9 tooth pinion, you will now have a 4.89-1 gear ratio. Could possibly pull a plow with it!!

Re: 44 Tooth ring gear
I've heard of these years ago!! they were meant to be coupled with a standard pinion to give a car owner more power in the hills, etc... I even want to think, somewhere in the dusty recesses of my mind, someone was making these aftermarket.
I wouldn't mind having one, as living in the mountains, that little extra "oomph" would help me climb our local 9% and change grade. Slower? Sure, but not as slow as a TT...
