Anime Model T
Now, I am sure that many of you MTFCA users have seen T's in many movies old and new, even in Laurel & Hardy shorts and Mack Sennett comedies (though I am sure some of you will cringe at the sight of abused and destroyed Ts). This in itself is just a neat thing to see. And, one evening, I was doing what many other teenagers do during quarantine: lounge about. And this teenager decided to watch some anime, nothing unusual. That was until I was halfway in the Studio Ghibli movie "Kiki's Delivery Service" where I spotted a Model T Ford in the background. I was really shocked because this was the first time after 5 years and 105 animes that I ever saw my dream car! Just something I wanted to share, carry on!

What’s an anime ?
I don’t know why I turned out this way. My parents were decent people.

Re: Anime Model T
It’s a specific type of animation. I think it originated in Japan, but it’s common now. I have teenagers in the house still and I’ve watched a couple of anime films with them. Artsy stuff...not my style, but I can see the appeal of it.

Re: Anime Model T
That’s cool John. And it looks like they took the time to draw a closed car too. Usually you’ll see a Touring car depicted in animation.1194668jc wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 3:51 amNow, I am sure that many of you MTFCA users have seen T's in many movies old and new, even in Laurel & Hardy shorts and Mack Sennett comedies (though I am sure some of you will cringe at the sight of abused and destroyed Ts). Re: Anime Model T
This type of animation started after WW2 as the young artist in Japan were inspired by the GI's comic books they were seeing after occupation. Their interpretation with larger eyes was to direct the art and market towards the Americans station there as they had money and the Japanese economy was still recovering. Very unique history!

Re: Anime Model T
Here’s another one... A Model T has appeared in “The Simpsons” a couple times.

Re: Anime Model T
Back in the late 1970's I bought 2 Model T's from a man down south, one was accenterdoor that I had to install the transmission cover on it ( what a job ) no room in them, it was sold to a movie company and the man said it would be in a Hallmark movie named Sarah
I looked for years and never fount the movie so I figured out it was never made, last week my wife bought a set of three dvd's and in the last one here comes my car driving up at the end, the movie was called Winter’s End Third Installment to Sarah Plain & Tall Hallmark Gold Crown. not a cartoon but just cool, Bob
