I am getting ready to start disassembly on the rear end in our 1921 T. I would like to know the size of the hole in the bench top axle holder as I am going to make one. Thank You for any help. ----Dan Greger

The hole in mine is 6 1/4 inches in diameter. I made mine out of a scrap 2x10 I had laying around. :)

I set mine up on my power miter box stand. That way I could move take it down and store it when done.

Thank You all for the reply's, this helps a lot. Now it is time for the interesting part to just see how bad it is inside, when I sucked some oil out of the fill hole it had a lot of Babbitt in it. ---Dan

While you're at it, take an old ring gear and bolt it down with the teeth up.

I cut a hole in my bench top but you can also just bolt it over the edge of your bench.

Handy as a pocket in a shirt for holding the assembly, removing ring bolts etc, tightening them etc etc.
