What can I say, another fun day!

Post by TWrenn » Wed Aug 19, 2020 8:05 pm

One nice thing about drought, you can count on great touring. Today was an unusually nice day with only 75 degrees and NO mugginess for once. 4 of us did another "picnic tour", this time on the shores of Lake Erie at Huron Ohio's Lakefront Park. Right where I lived for 3 years in my tweens & early teens. Then it was off east to Vermilion for ice cream of course. After that, an hour tour looping out in the country on the way home with a stop at a local pub/grill to make plans for a supper tour some Sunday next month. Great day! Did 72 miles. Clara actually got 27.3 mpg and ran like a well oil machine. Gonna do this again soon, to another location of course.

During a sublime day/activity like that, my grandfather would always say, "I wonder what the poor folks are doing today". ;)

(of course, we'd always reply with whatever we were doing at the time). :D

I say it a lot now with my kids. They roll their eyes (and use the same comeback), but they love it.
