This was a big surprise, Mr Rick Rice ask us to get a project started for him as it had a few issues. After doing an assessment and inspection was not expecting to see this...., A Chevy Crankshaft and Rods, with all the goodies stuffed inside. Someone really spent some bucks on this, you can even see opposite grinds on the throws from bob weighting each one, stove baked block inside, the ports opened up in a very clean method, just..., "WOW".

Some engineers do not clean up after partying! LOL! I blew a whole nest out of an exhaust pipe one time, that was funny as all get out when it hit the wall!

Those were MIT engineers. You can tell from the domes. Probably celebrating a win over Stanford.

That was a freshly rebuilt engine that sat a couple years in his garage - he wanted me to start it for him but I told him "not unless you agree for me to tear it down" - cleaned everything, installed new rings & re-lubed it and it ran perfect !

Hi Hank,

I'm close to send you my engine to you if they open the border soon. Not able to fix the overheat on my rebuild engine... The guy who made it pass away last year... He was well estimated to making good job. Timing is perfect, I have some free start, Intake is perfect no leak and the Radiator is perfect as you know... But still have this overheat after 15 minutes...

Rebuilt Engine Over Heating

Mario. I am no expert. But did You check to see if Your car has a thermostat. 15 minutes is about the time it takes a T engine to warm up and if a thermostat was added in rebuild it could be stuck. sounds like a coolant flow restriction since with correct timing the engine should not be producing a lot of excess heat and the free starts indicate engine is not too tight. a good radiator should be dissipating the heat. Check the engine head temp along with the radiator top tank and the radiator lower outlet going to the engine and see what the differential temp is. I use a cheap harbor freight infrared gun type thermometer. the lower hose inlet should normally be about 40 degrees ? or more lower than top tank with engine running.

Thank you for your advice. I have a Thermostat and a brand new radiator too. After 15 minutes is bowling a lot.

Maybe I will try to buy a cheap harbor freight infrared gun type thermometer to see what happen in different place of the engine.
