Got the pictured wheel spoke straighteners for a set of new to me wire wheels. Ordered them from Specialty motor cams in Plymouth Wisconsin.
Part # SMC0016T, my four wheels are now straight and ready for powder coating.

Don’t forget to spin ‘em all to check that you didn’t affect the straightness of the wheel rims...

Cool tool, but won't do anything for over-all hub-rim alignment if other spokes just have minor bending. I took my wire wheels to a place in Wausau, WI that did all five of them for $125. There are lots of places who do rim alignment bending. I'm pretty sure there are other places that can do the job as well. Just have to make some calls and ask.

Hey these are not Mavic road bike rims I'm prepping for the Tour de France, spokes are now straight and wheels are true. Not really gonna overthink the wire wheel here, but I will take the time and have the lug and outward "snout" area magna-fluxed for cracks before paint/Tires and enjoying what's left of this Summer boy's.
Wheel spoke straightner set from Specialty motor cams, # SMC0016T. Have a nice day

I knew they had to be a better way than I did it! Struggle with hammers and blocks of metal and learning cuss words in Swaheelee.

Second on those spoke tools from Stipe, they work. Wavy spokes on a restored and repainted wire wheel shouldn't be there

I used a hook on the end of my slide hammer but I think these tools will do a better job.
Any others to chime in on these tools?
Is Specialty Motor Cams the only place to buy them?
Anyone have a set they want to sell?
Thanks,
Mike

It honestly looks like something someone with a good drill press and welder could make in a couple hours.

OK, got the Stipe tool set but it came without any instructions. It looks intuitive. Any tips on using these? When do you use one over the other?
Thanks!
Mike
