Can someone tell me what i need for a cutter and pilot and where i can get them? I need to install a seat on a 26 block, i have heard you can use a magnetic drill press . I plan to use one of the ones the dealers sell. Thanks

A lot of seat cutters are adjustable and the guides are in the kit with .0005 increments. My Sioux system is old as dirt but I love it. Might want to check your size requirements and check the Bay.

KO Lee (Hank any kin?) made a portable one you could use in car.
I assume that the engine is still in car if you are only doing one seat. Dan

Sorry I can't help with the name of the seat cutter but I borrowed one to do it on my engine. It took about 5 minutes after the set up that took 15 minutes. After the set up I used a 3/8 driver drill to run the cutter. I couldn't believe it. I have been told that these set ups are worth gold if you can find them.

Phew! Reading the thread title I wondered "Why would you put wooden boards to replace the sprung padded ones..."

Close call that...
