Forecast is 60 next wed and 44 at night. Good thing I took my touring for a ride today. Better plan on some more driving this weekend before winter sets in. 49 tonite. Better check my antifreeze and supply of oil.

I look forward to 60's Dave. Im sick of 90's and humid weather. Not a fan of zero but cool nights is fine with me.

The forecast for Modesto (CA Central Valley) is 103 deg. F. tomorrow then two days of 109 deg. F. The only thing that makes it tolerable is the fact that we're already into September and soon things will cool off.

Of course, this is really bad news for the firefighters fighting a number of fires nearby.

I have the remains of a big dead tree behind my shop. I sprayed the weeds around it this morning to clear the way. When the cooler weather rolls in next week I'll be ready to start cutting and splitting firewood. It's too warm for that kind of work now. I've been cutting trees and low branches to clear my woodlot road and leaving the remains to cut up later when the weather is friendlier.

We're supposed to have the hottest day of the year in just a few days! Official prognostications say 104. We were supposed to have high temps a couple weeks ago, but the smoke was thick enough here that temps ended up at only a hundred.

We have enjoyed the variety of temperatures here. 55° last Monday, 96° tomorrow and then 60°next Tuesday. Something for everyone. Lows are 52° to 30°. It's a dry heat and cools off at night.
When did I do that?

Most of California is in for record high temperatures. It will even be in the 90's at the beach in San Diego. Here it will be over 100. In this area, there are usually maybe a week of hot weather in August and early September. October can be hot or cold? Usually from October till December we get hot dry desert winds called Santa Ana winds. It is during those winds that we sometimes have devastating fires. It could be bad this year, because we haven't had rain since May and all summer we have had record heat, so everything is very dry.

60 and 44 ! Wow, what us Texans trade off to be able to drive T's year round, even if we have had more than a month's worth of 100+ degree days this summer !

My goodness....for the love of all that is good and holy....send it to Houston.

I'm pretty sure God has been trying to kill us lately with the heat, hurricane and covid.

Here in the Thumb of Michigan it is 68°, blue skies with a few clouds and a nice breeze. One of those days it feels great to be alive. For the most part Michigan has a great climate but we too have seen some aberrations over the past few years. At least we're not melting, burning or being blown or washed away...... good luck to you all!

I have a great nephew who is one of those firefighters. Last I heard he was in the Columbia River area. A while back he was near Flagstaff. I have nothing but tremendous respect for this young man.

Tomorrow our Calgary Club is hosting its annual Inspection, "Driving School" and Car games day.
We are expecting 50 or more people with around 20 Model T's. The forecast temperature is around 85 F.
On Sunday and Monday the weatherman is predicting frost and possibly snow here in Southern Alberta.
Looks like we planned this one right.
