Redster

Post by Nathan Pederson » Sun Sep 06, 2020 2:37 pm

Here's one I put together awhile back.

This red roadster was made from pieces of a touring car.
The back half of the body was moved forward and attached to the cowl.

Lower the suspension as much as possible and hop up the engine! You’ll have a perfect gow job! Very nice job!

Rich and Rich,
You fellows are quite a humorous team :), and those red tires really spiffed up the old beater!

Years ago, the plan was to put on smooth white Firestones with gold lettering added, but those tires
weren't available at the time. Still might do it.

Thanks for the invite!!! Wish I could be there, it would be a bit too far to travel, though.
Will be looking forward to seeing pictures.

One thing about a Red antique car, if you do it right you only need one. I found that is sometimes true with Yellow.
When did I do that?

Your little red Roadster speedster looks pretty good and has eye appeal to me. Pretty good use of a partial body that’s not overdone. You could have started a trend!

Hi John, I like to think of the car as a street rod that's been turned back into a Model T!

Duey, the TT was my Grandfather's, going all the way back to the 1920's.
It was parked in the grove for many years, I played on it as a kid. Good memories!

The "patina" is just flat black (with an accumulating layer of dust).

Might be awhile, but still looking forward to getting together.
Always looks like interesting things going on over there!

Julius did not race the chariot in Rome, no.:)
However, it was once suggested at a car show that I should be wearing a toga when I drive it!
