I don’t know how I missed this number until today. It is under the seat on the leading edge near the gas tank. Is there any worthwhile information to be gleaned from this?

Darin-
The body was made by Beaudette. It is an inventory number for Beaudette, and not used for Ford records.
Look on the underside of the back doors. You may find the number there, too.

Same here. Owned my 13T for 20 years just saw the body number about 2 weeks ago. Let’s see if the photo posts.

Mine is a Fisher body, as in “Body by Fisher” Canadian made.

Keith,

I have a runabout. Looked under the only door I have and don’t see a number.

Pull up the seat cushion. The wooden piece that the seat sits on has the number. Mine was on the left hand side.

Barry,

That’s where that first pic is from. Don’t know how I’ve missed it before.

What does the prefix ‘B’ stand for?

Barry,

I inferred from Keith’s comment the b means the body was made by Beaudette.

Ford themselves did not build the bodies for their cars during the brass era. Pre-model T and first two years of model T, Wilson was one of if not the largest supplier of bodies to Ford. Wilson also supplied bodies to several other automobile manufacturers including Cadillac. By 1913, Beaudette was supplying more bodies for Ford's huge and growing demand, and remained one of if not the largest suppliers until the end of the brass era. There were about five other companies that built significant numbers of bodies for Ford during the brass era.
Ford began building bodies in house about 1917 or '18. However outside suppliers continued building some of the bodies clear though the end of model T production. The '24 coupe I used to have had a Fischer body.
