Crankshaftt
I installed the crank I had ground in 1980 and come to find out it is .003 out in center main and the inner thrust is .007 on one side and drags on the other but the flange is square. It is fresh .020 all. Any help ?,I live in Portsmouth ,VA. I have 2 other cranks I think are junk but I hate to throw them away. One is .005 on front main and .030 on rear . The other is .015 front and .025 rear. Any ideas? I"m at a stand still!! MEL.

Re: Crankshaftt
Have the crank check for straightness, built up the rear thrust and refit for correct end play.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Re: Crankshaftt
Having been ground near 40 years ago I see a couple possibilities. 1) a crank not stored properly can sag under its own weight over time. 2) Or it was ground wrong in the first place. It is widely known that crank grinders hold the crank between centers (using axial pressure) and this will spring the crank, after grinding it will resume its original shape and appear bent
