How far out from the center are the footman loops on the front and rear top bows on a 11 Touring? These are the loops that the leather straps attach to. Also, does the bottom of the rear strap with the round metal buckle attach to the top saddle bracket? Thanks, Art

I had a picture of Keiths top so I made mine look the same. Installed the loops and the original style webbing and the winshield seal. Today I have it sitting in the sun with the top material laying on it to try to relax some fold marks. Thanks for the bump, Art

Art- (and George)
My front footman loops are 45-3/4" apart, measured center to center of the loops. They should be about the edge of the windshield. Test fit the strap all the way to the radiator so it does windshield rods do not interfere with the strap!

My rear footman loops are 44-3/4" apart. They are right about at the point where the curve in the bow begins. Test fit these with the rings in place to make sure the pull is relatively straight.

Yes these are the loops that the front top-to-radiator straps attach and the rear top to body straps attach. The rear strap has the round ring that loops around the iron onto which the top saddle bracket attaches.

These images are not of my car. They are of Fred Lau's (RIP) 1911, so the measurements may look different in relation to the seam on the top deck. Your measurement may vary depending on the width of your top bows.

I believe on earlier cars these traps are sewn, later cars they are riveted. Here is my original strap, sewn and riveted.

Russ Furstnow does a nice job on making straps.

You will need to make a ton of adjustments in getting your bows and straps "where they fit and work." One you get it dialed in, it makes putting your top on much easier.
