I just can't visualize how the front windshield seal is supposed to look and be installed to the front bow on my 11 Touring. Can someone post some pictures of one installed? Thanks, Art

From the factory, 1911 Fords never had a windbreaker or rain flap on the front bow.

Here is how I did our 1911. It is similar to what was done on many cars of that period. I made the end covers to hold down the tack strip. Makes for a finished look and they don't come loose.
The small strip that covers the front of the windshield frame doesn't keep the rain out. At speed the top raises up and the water comes in over the top of the windshield. Some people add ways to attach the top to the windshield frame but the front of the top moves back and forth when moving and can put quite a strain on the fasteners.
The top on a 1912 or so Interstate automobile had a piece of sheet metal wrapped with top material in front of the windshield. That along with strong hold down straps would be a help.

This is what a previous owner did on my '12. Not too keen on adding Murphy buttons to the windshield but it has kept us dry on many rainy tour days.
