I have over 400 Model T and Model A pictures collected over the years from the Internet so I have no idea where this came from originally but it is very inventive and interesting. If someone knows the location please comment!

Why are the demountable rims displayed inside the wheels? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Actually, this was Henry's first attempt at what he called a "stationary assembly line". The idea was to drop all the parts in one place and have a completed car. Alas, it didn't fare too well.

I understand the Ford engineer who came up with the idea was dismissed not long after........................

I have seen that several times in the Science Museum in London right across the street from the Victoria and Albert Museum.

I personally took the above photo at The Henry Ford Museum in Sept. 2018.

Ha ... I see that one is at Henry Ford Museum .. not the Science Musem. So evidently there is more than one. The Duetches Museum in Munich may have one too. Everything in that place is cut in half!

The wheels and rims are still in the wrong positions...you'd think somebody would fixt that.

Looks like it would be a relatively easy fix.

It'd be funny if both museums had the rims assembled incorrectly.

I think I have a picture that I took of that in 1964 at the Henry Ford Museum somewhere. Chris B., what are "shut lines"? Dave
