MTFCA Forum

The MTFCA is pleased to announce that the 2019 recipient of the Walt Rosenthal Award is Tony Bowker of Ramona, California.

This award, the highest given by the MTFCA, honors an individual who represents Walt Rosenthal’s willingness to lend a helping hand, donate a needed part, or offer encouragement to the newcomer.

Chairman of the Rosenthal Committee, Ed Archer, said there were several nominees this year, all worthy of receiving the award, so it was a tough decision. The comments from those who nominated Tony solidified the final choice. Here are just a few:

“He is a true enthusiast for everything Model T and has been the mainstay of two local chapters [including the Model T Ford Club of San Diego].”
“His assistance to others is legend in our area.”
“One of the most important things he does is help new members. He works hard to teach people to troubleshoot their own cars.”
“The investment he has made to the Model T community as well as the MTFCA cannot be measured.”

Congratulations to Tony for a lifetime of service to the Model T community!

I was hoping for many years that Tony would receive the award. He is one of the most helpful members I know. Whenever someone needs help, Tony is there. He has helped me many times.

My mentor and friend, a gentleman, and someone who can give a extra push when needed. His presence has made all the difference in the way that the T has shaped my life. I am blessed to have his guidance and consider him family. For those who have negative things to say, keep it to yourself that is not what this post is for. No one is perfect therefore they should take a look in the mirror before trying to bring others down. Congrats again my friend.

Yay Tony!

Last year I met Tony for the first time at the June Tour and Homecoming.




He made it a point to say goodbye & wish me safe travels when I left.

Earlier last year he had drove up from his place to Lake Elsinore, California
to help out a Model T owner ....


She was sending her father's Model T to Black Forest, Colorado for
her daughter to use on her ranch ....
