We had some snow last night and this is what we woke up to! We live 30 miles inland from San Diego and elevation 2350'. See the solar collectors are covered with ice.

For a lot of folks in the rest of the country California is all palm trees and beaches that they see on TV. They're unaware of its geographic diversity. Some parts of the state get snow rarely or never, and other parts can get fifteen feet in a single storm.

This is how it looks today from my deck in Prescott, AZ. Same storm that dumped on Norm and John. 14” to 16” of snow. Some drifting as well. Snow emergency declared. (100 mi. north of Phoenix at 5200 ft. elevation.)

This was the second dump after shoveling off the hot tub & deck a couple weeks ago - near Tacoma, WA - we normally don't get anywhere near this accumulation !

Boy! Glad I live in Wyoming! I'd hate to have to deal with a bunch of snow like that.

Tuesday afternoon. It's all gone now (the snow, not the house). :)

This is not usual for this elevation. Usually only over 4,000' I understand it even snowed in Malibu! Very unusual.
