My 1910 running again.

Post by ModelT46 » Sun Oct 18, 2020 12:11 pm

A group of friends came by yesterday and checked my 1910 engine over. It turned out the compession was low due to the engine not run for over 10 years. They decided to tow the T and it started right off. After adjusting the gas/air mix, the engine ran and sounded real nice. AND THE MAG WORKED GREAT! We had pulled the engine and istalled a new rewound field coil (One of the last ones Mark Fleishacker had done) The engine idelled nice on battery and on mag. It was great to have my 1910 running gagin. (I bought it 74 years ago) one of my friends drove it and backed it into my garage for winter storage. This was the first time in 74 years that anyone but my self had drive my T. That is me leaning on the fender.

One way to do a video is to post it to Youtube with access set to "public", then paste a link to it in your post, like this:

here is the link to the engine running. When we first started the engine, the smoke was the result of oil we put in to the cylinders to make it easier to turnover.
