I have disassemble the vaporizer unit and am having difficultly removing some internal parts as follows:

1) The Primary Air Tube ( where it passes thru the top and bottom of the Exhaust Manifold)

2) Primary Air Tube (where it enters the Choke/Venturi Housing - - this is a short 1" piece because the pipe rusted thru at the top of the exhaust manifold)

3) Spray Nozzle (in the bottom of the carb)

4) Fuel Inlet Piece ( However, I assume it is probably OK not replace it!)

I have sprayed these parts with "Yield" penetrating oil many times. This oil has worked every well on numerus other parts and fasteners. I haven't yet tried heat. I am waiting to get comments on heat and any other thoughts.

I would be patient, keep soaking it, and gently trying to move the parts, until they come loose. You can always use heat as a last resort. All of the internal parts are available as spares, they aren't that expensive, and if you don't get results by soaking after a week or so, then heavier measures are indicated.
This is another case where you might want to put the carb in a heavy plastic bag, and fill it up with "Evaporust" and let is sit for a couple of days. Then take it out, scrub it with water and a bristle brush, and after it dries off, put the penetrating oil back on it, and see what happens after a few more days.

Take your time and soak it with penetrating oil. The SPRAY NOZZLE (part 6286) definitely has to come out.....there are some orifices that behind it that must be cleaned for proper operation. I had to use an easy-out to get fuel needle out......destroyed it... but new parts are available. Also make certain that the air flapper is not stuck and operates freely

William, Why a plastic bag? Why not a plastic tub?

I don't see a piece listed as "fuel needle".

I believe it's part number 6279 That threads into Number 6278 in the upper drawing .

Bruce: A plastic bag often requires less Evaporust/less cost to soak a small part that might require a large container. I've placed parts in a bag with Evaporust and then set that bag in a bucket of water to 'support' the bagged part. It's a little messy but makes the ER go further in my experience. jb
