Greetings Friends:
Can anyone tell me the bolt size / thread sizes of the "wishbone" ball cap bolt (stud)? I can't find this info searching here, or the web, or my various manuals and catalogs. I've attached a picture from one of the vendors just to be clear about the part I'm referring to.
I'm particularly interested in knowing the thread specs for the course end that screws into the ball cap socket on the oil pan.
I'm asking because I want to clean up the threads on one side of the ball cap socket, and before I put a tap in there I want to really know the correct size. I know how important those studs are for safety. Keeping that radius rod ball in place is critical.
Many thinks for the information.
Sincerely,
Rick Benjamin
