Pickup Bed Question

I'm about brain dead working with issues associated with my 26 T pickup bed. I noticed today that it appears, when all assembled, that the crossmember relief hole will not be centered over the crossmember. Is that just the way it is or am I missing something? The photo shows a piece of the flooring laid in the bed. The aft edge of the relief hole is at 29 inches as shown on another post. The string shown is tied across the bed tied to the mounting holes that will match up with the center of the rear crossmember. You can see where the center of the crossmember will line up. Is this just where it's going to end up located?

Here is underside of '26 bed showing the hump plate over the rear crossmember. The cutout in the bed boards and the plate do fit more to the front so it isn't really on center with the rear crossmember. Likely factory figured more metal for strength at the short front boards of the bed that way, or for centering the load. ;)

Thanks. Your cross member photo makes me feel good that this isn’t a new problem.
