Hoping to get it inside and start working on the top and upholstery, do a little carb switch to something that runs better and build a Hoover Box for the back where the trunk used to be. Also going to install my manifold heater, new wiring and upgrade to LED bulbs. All original except for the fenders being brush painted in the 50's It will stay that way.

Very nice! How do you plan on restoring the roof and upholstery? Are there any of those parts selling online?

Dan, I'm sure that's a current picture! Saw on the weather news last night the upper midwest/northwest has and is going to continue to get hammered in the next few days of snow. In many places measured in FEET, not inches! They can keep it!!

Perry, I've heard there is a guy in Montana that's pretty good but is old and fat and lazy, hard to get him to do anything. I'll probably get one if those guys who wipes em off with an oily rag and calls em restored. =)
The picture is from Friday night. We got a foot of snow Friday and Saturday. It is supposed to start getting cold tomorrow and be down to zero by Thursday night, frigid for most of next week.

It had a new wood kit for the top partly installed but was missing some pieces. I will make new pieces and have looking for an old green army tarp to cover with.
The interior will be worn blue jeans and it will get a Hoover Box where the trunk is.
All original except the fenders were brush painted somewhere back in time.
I am the third owner. Bought new in Hinsdale, Mt in 27, went through a dealer to Erwin Allen in the 70's, to me two years ago.

Yeah, I pretty much like them in work clothes.
My attitude is that anybody can restore them, it's hard to find an original.
The paint has oxidized some from sitting outside for two years but it will clean up, I think, to where it looks like it would have in the 40's when it was just an old Ford, which is how I want it.

Stan, perhaps a better match for the top covering would be an older black bed cover off a pickup truck. I have one off a 1979 Falocn ute put aside for a "new" top covering for Henrietta when the present one finally blows apart. It is dirty, has a few scuff marks and a repair or two to a couple of tears, so it looks just the part.
Allan from down under.

It is early winter here. We are 15 miles from the Continental divide at 4000 feet, 175 miles from Canada.
Tonight and the weekend are going to be a major storm, a foot of snow, wind, 5 above F by tomorrow morning.
Full of propane, antifreeze checked in all the vehicles, going to go look for my winter coat which is in one of the pickups at the ranch.
I have 5 four wheel drive pickups and two front wheel drive cars along with about 20 tractors, one with a backhoe and two with loaders so I won't be snowed in.
Best thing I ever did was put gas heat in my shop. Walk in the door and it's warm.
But it is winter in Montana. .
