Been working all morning on getting some of these ready for assembly. Already had them bead blasted and passages drilled, just polished most of them, te-tapped all the threaded holes, resurfaced all the mating surfaces including where the seat screws into the bottom of the bowl which is almost always a mess, where all the caps screw in, internal threads where the main jet screws in, etc. Some of them I get in have been drilled out so 3/8 studs won't work or the threads are too bad to use so I have a jig to drill them out, thread them with 1/2 x 24 threaded brass stock, with silver solder to hold it in, have a drilling jig to drill the holes and thread them 3/8 - 16 so they are correct for an OF. Most of the flanges are bent to some extent so I run those through a process to flatten them so they don't leak air around the flange. They will all get bushings for the throttle shaft, too, I need to make a whole pile of bushings before I get much further.

Made a bunch of little parts last week, made about 20 of each one shown, these were just what was still laying on the bench.

Tired of standing in front of the lathe and the bench, coffee time, just thought you might like to see how I do these.

Nice work Stan, You didn't say how you drill the little float level hole min the side of the bowl so it's possible to set the proper float level!. That was a super great idea!

Just think you could be out in the snow fix'g frozen water pipes.... fires down here spreading ashes so deep it's like Snow!

I have a little jig that hooks over the side of the bowl to position the hole, drill it #29, thread it 8-32, make a grub screw to screw into it. Someday somebody will be going through all the special jigs and etc I made for these carbs and be saying, "What do you suppose this goofy looking thing is??" You should see the jig for bending up OF throttle arms. !!

I actually have a pretty good stock of cores and think I found somebody in Washington that will laser cut me more steel parts as I'm about out of the last bunch of 100 I had cut.

I am still not taking in any repair work or making much effort to sell anything until I get caught up some. This summer was just a blur, I cranked out a bunch of carbs but I'm a long ways from caught up. I'm the last guy standing in the carb restoration business that does much of anything other than T carbs and I've been buried in some of them. I have stuff here from Finland, Australia, England, South America and a bunch of US stuff waiting for rebuilds. Things are slowing down in other areas so I have more time to work in the shop now.

In answer to your question, yes, I have OF's for sale but I will not promise delivery of anything under late spring as I am spending the time trying to make parts and catch up.
