Oh yeah,... I always liked to haul hay in a Model T touring car too - until I bought a F 250 and a 24’ gooseneck trailer Thanks for the cool pictures !

I was trying to figure out what happened to #4, and I deduce that someone drove into a car elevator, without the elevator being there, , and wound up at the bottom of the elevator shaft. I assume the big springs are what the elevator car rested on when it was at the bottom of the building.
Or something else.

Description An open-cab truck is parked in front of the Louisville Free Public Library building on York Street near Third Street. Re the elevator shaft, I didn't think about driving in from a different floor! Nose dive, hit the floor and flip backwards. OUCH!

Great photos as always. The radiator on the last one is certainly different. I don't recall seeing one like that.

I have always thought that women’s fashions of the 1920’s, with helmet type hats that covered the eyes and the lack of tailoring that made dresses resemble gunny sacks that failed to accentuate and even concealed the curves of a woman, were the least attractive fashions in history. Even with this in mind, imagine how hot the young woman in the first photo would be if she were wearing modern day apparel and makeup that enhanced her beauty and attributes, instead of hiding them. I have never been a fan of the bobbed hairdo either. Give me long hair on a woman any day. Jim Patrick

The way it landed upside down, I doubt if the driver of the T that fell down the elevator shaft, survived. If he did, he probably suffered debilitating injuries that affected him for the rest of his life. Sad. Jim Patrick

PS. Judging by the curved fenders, it looks like a ‘26-‘27 Tudor sedan.

In the second picture, it looks like the T was T-boned on the right side which pushed it into the curb, shattering the spokes of both wheels on the left side and flipping it. Jim Patrick
