How to install modern needle replacement in NH Carb

Post by Quickm007 » Tue Nov 17, 2020 11:29 am

Hi, I would like to install a Modern style replacement for needle and seat on my Holley NH. I never make it before. Anyone could share me the procedure as well?

I would not do it. Those things have a bad reputation. I would use an original float valve or a new one from Scott Conger.

Get one of Scott’s tools for removing and installing the valve too!

I would highly recommend you talk to Russ Potter for guidance. He is installing two of those float valves on my two holly G carburators. As he advertises he is the King/prime authority on model T carburators. He has done great job on carburators for me in the past. Frank

Thank you all. I have the tool from Scott. Working really well. My NH come from Russ Potter as well. A friend of mine recommended to me the modern one because it avoid to be stuck as the regular needle. But I thought I will keep as is finally with the needle Russ use.
