I posted a short video of my turn signal system on Youtube. It is set on hazard (all lights flashing) but you get the point. My car is the standard 6 volt system. I made an adapter to hold 21 single contact bulbs in the cowl lights and smaller lights in amber lens beehive marker lights in the rear grounded through the spare tire bracket. The switch unit is a style 900 Signal Stat and I used an NOS American made ECHLIN Heavy Duty #535 flasher unit. I found that the modern #535 flasher made overseas didn’t work well or for very long.

Is the switch voltage-specific? I ordered Lang's 6v turn signal kit but they said their supplier has backordered the switches for a while now. I've found some similar switches at other general automotive retailers, but all claim to be 12v. The only part of the switch I can think of that might drive voltage specification is the indicator light, which I'm guessing if incandescent would be replaceable.

The flasher needs to match your voltage. If you buy a 12V kit, you'll need to get a 6V flasher too.

The only apparent difference in Lang's 6V &12V turn signal kits is the flasher. This switch is voltage insensitive at 6/12 volts
Now if you intend to use LED's neither of these flashes is correct., you need a flasher for LEDs, so just by the switch and your own flasher

Mark, may I ask, what do you use to actuate your stop light? Thanks!
