Does anyone know what Ford models this KR Wilson key cutter would work for? I donβt think it was used for T. Also is there a code book for the use of this machine. I have several plates with indexing # according to key manufacturer. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I am thinking it would be Model A or newer. I don't have any KR WILSON catalogs to look at, but what you might try is a Google search. Try typing in K R Wilson and the model number and see what pops up.

B & S is Briggs and Stratton.
Crown is rare for Model Ts and may have made Model A keys.
Yale made 1926 and 1927 Model T door keys and Model A door keys up to 1948 for pickup trucks and also ignition keys.
It looks like the key would clamp in the middle and one side would set the depth of the ignition key cuts and the other side would be used for the door key cuts, so it is primarily Model A and later.
To calibrate the setting a 1 is the full width of the key blank, each progressive number is a constant depth deeper.

Your Key Cutter looks like the one on display at the Nat'l Model A Club bldg. at Gilmore's , Hickory Corners MI.
Likely for Model A keys. The Ford T Key rack is there for display too.
To keep this thread on Model T's !
And that bldg is fun visit for Ford A's but also has a nice original barn T in the entrance area.

I do not know why Dennis is setting the key machine on his chopping block. I chop so much kindling on mine I can not put anything else on it.

Thanks , Mark,Jay, Dan,Jim, & Frank for all the information and help. I do not think I will ever use the key cutter. Is there any interest in this?
Dan Hatch and Chris B. I could have set it on this one for display

and used that table for my fat pine kindling.
