Speedster is finally on the road!

I chose to title this thread “ Speedster is finally on the road” and not “My Speedster is done” since I don’t think you can ever consider them “done”.
To start off, I have wanted a Speedster for probably over 20 years. A little over 10 years ago this purchase got it all started.
A running ‘26 chassis that I bought from a guy that took the coupe body off for a hot rod.
Over the course of the next several years, to keep the cost down, I collected parts, bought and sold parts, and traded up for parts in better condition as I came across them. It’s funny how when you are patient, things almost seem to find you. The body was always the big missing piece that I was always unsure of what I was going to use.
Three years ago at Hershey I found this old body and it gave me a jump start and got me motivated to get serious about getting the car together.
A couple weeks ago I was able to get the car tagged and took it on a very cold maiden trip around the “block” for a total of about six miles. Ran great with only a few bugs to work out. This winter’s project will be a windshield!
I would like to thank the MTFCA forum and all who have contributed to it over the years. Without the incredible amount of information available on the forum, I don’t think I would have ever gotten it done.
