Someone please buy this for me this Christmas ...

Post by dobro1956 » Sun Dec 20, 2020 10:31 pm

I stumbled onto the biggest hoard of KR Wilson tools I have ever seen, while searching you tube. Im not sure who it belongs to, but the title description says its for sale. I also did not figure out how much, but my gosh, what a collection of tools ...

Im also pretty sure that is who it is. He has been selling a lot of stuff on e-bay lately ... Most of it I could not afford. All I did was run the bids up, when I bid on the items ... :)

Yes, that is Tim. I don't know about the closing up and retiring though. I had bought items from him in the past, and sold to him as well. He did sell a lot on Ebay over the last couple of months. Seriously shocked me when I saw some of the prices, stuff I was going to take to the swapmeets I would have been giving away. When we have some local swapmeets again, I might ask an extra $5 for a couple of items. He had a couple of listings of original tool cabinet hooks. Nice stuff and he is a nice guy as well. I do have one thing he did not, an original nozzle from a KRW High Pressure Car Washer, this is the only picture that I have handy, it is on the right:

Pep, I really wanted the cabinet hooks you mentioned. I bid a very high bid price and was outbid on every auction. I'm getting ready to sell all my KR WIlson Model A tools. I hope they do as well as his items did.

That is truly mind boggling. I get excited when I see one or two items.
Do you suppose it comes with Free Shipping?
Thanks for the look.
Rich
When did I do that?

I talked with Tim over the weekend - they "downsized" to a quite smaller residence with no shop.

OK Donnie I'll buy it for you for Christmas. How many copies of that video do you want? One or two?

That was the information from someone that is in the know.

So long as it is something that he wanted to do and not something that he had to do. He doesn't have anything listed on Ebay right now, seller is hehillsy. I always found it just by searching "kr wilson" and his stuff would be right at the top. He had a complete Model T connecting rod and piston aligning jig, I thought it went pretty cheap. One of the last items he had listed were a pair of micrometer frames for the boring bar on the combination machine, I would have liked to get one of those but was AFK as my grandson would say (Away From Keyboard) when they ended.

Thanks for the correction on the eBay name he uses. The person that told me about selling, had talked to him also.
