My nephew was a good boy last year and Santa gave him his reward

Gorgeous. How cool. Looks like Carmine Red. Are those the French Gray stripes?
Bet someone didn't sleep a wink that night!!

The best part was I bought the t for him 2 months ago, hid it away, and had it delivered this morning. I only told his wife there was a small package being delivered this morning at 9 am. If you watch the video you can see my nephew wiping the tears from his eyes!!!

We hid the car from him and he really had no idea his rich deranged uncle would even think of giving him a model t. I love surprises and this one worked out perfectly.

That looks like an early one and in very good condition. What year is it? Where does he live? With all those palm trees, I suspect it is somewhere in California.

Actually it is a 1911. Restored a number of years ago from an original car. A few upgrades, laycock overdrive and Ash wire wheels, and rocky mountain brakes. It is a sorta carmine red, and grey/white striping. Decent condition for the older restoration with quite a few miles. The car was restored in New England and made its way out to the west coast. Yes there are palm trees, all plastic just for looks as we are all in the Seattle area.

“Ash wire wheels”
The Ash wire wheels I have come across are 3 lug bolt on wheels. Those look like Universal/McLaren wheels to me. Either way... very nice lookin car👍

I stand corrected they are McClaren as noted on the hubcaps.

The Ash wheels were not all that robust of a design... I overhauled a set of 5 original 21” Ash wheels a few years ago. The 3 bolt system was pretty delicate, and so there was going to be much work to bring it all back to usable. I eventually drilled a set of my new Buffalo wheel centers to match the Ash lacing pattern, and laced em up as Buffalo’s

That's probably the best gift he ever got!
