An old member could use our prayers

A friend and fellow poster, Rich Wolf, is in the hospital with Covid. A few days before he was admitted, he discovered that his family that he has been staying with has it,and he was "going downhill". Once admitted,
he said he had "it" (tested positive) as well as Pnuemonia. Don't know how accurate that would be. Short of it is, the last phone talk we had over 36 hours ago he said he could hardly breathe, and didn't think he was gonna make it. Haven't heard from him since, I keep emailing him as then he usually calls me back. He may now be on a ventilator. So he needs a quick prayer from us. I've been doing it daily for weeks. Thanks and God Bless all. We don't know how good we have it til our health goes South.

My thoughts and prayers got out to your Friend, and I think he will make it. The reason being is that a Friend of mine from long ago, recently had the Flu, Pneumonia, and Covid all at the same time. He has survived, and is mobile as we speak. God is Good.

Thanks again to all. As of this morning, still no reply. I will continue my twice daily emails to him, maybe
he'll be okay and eventually reply. Keep praying. This could be any one of us.

A Model T buddy of mine a few miles away had the virus bad. He had to be revived twice in the hospital. He's home now and doing OK by all accounts, so we will hope and pray for the best for Richard.

Again, thanks to all, and now an update. I managed to track him down at Marion General in Indiana. Talked to a nurse on
his floor. She knew him. All she could say is he was "stable". Not on a ventilator. She gave my phone number to his daughter-in-law who also is recovering from Covid, but at home. Her husband, Rich's son, also has it but far worse, but he's able to recuperate at
home. They only save the worst of worst for hospitals, as there's no beds left in this country. So she gave me more of a rundown, he's hanging in there, but, going into severe dementia also. So sad. He may be moved to a Nursing Home this week.
So he still needs prayers. Thanks again.

Tim - are you referring to Richard Wolf in Georgia with the '13 Touring of Otis Clinton's ?

Hey Steve, no. He was in Homasassa Florida, I think he sold his '14 touring to Steve somebody. I forget the last name!
We "met" via the forum, he picked up my comments of how much I loved my new lift back when me and a friend put it
together one afternoon, and turns out he and his friend were having difficulty getting it his new lift together and making it work. So I
helped him through it, and we've been "pen pals" ever since. He has Parkinsons, steadily getting worse, so his return texts/emails turned into return phone calls from my emails cause he couldn't push the alphabet buttons on his phone. Then he moved up
to Indiana to probly live out his days, only to have this happen, and now dementia seems to really be setting in on the poor guy.
I keep praying for him.

.....figured I'd better bring this back to the top.

I'd know Dick for maybe 15 years. He'd come over to my place and we'd sit in the barn and shoot the bull. His sister lives a couple of miles up the road from me, so he could kill two birds with one stone. Model T's???? Yeah, but mostly trucks. We were both retired truckers. His dad and uncle had the Mack Truck Dealerships in Marion and Kokomo, so he grew up around trucks - wrenchin' and drivin'. We both had plenty of tales/lies to tell....enjoyable times.
Back when he was moving to Florida from Marion, IN, I bought a bunch of T stuff from him - a HCCT and a big drum rear end with full floating hubs and a 3:1 gears. I still have most of it.
It's always sad to see someone pass, but sometimes it's for the best. With Dick, with the Parkenson and Dementia setting in, it is probably best to not drag it out. Still, I will miss the "bull sessions" we had. Good memories.

Was sad to see him go, but I expected it. I was gonna post it, got sidetracked, and then just plain forgot. Thanks for the Obit posting. Now I finally had a face to my emails and phone conversations. RIP Rich. You're better off now.

Tim- The picture was taken after he started downhill. He looked better in person than in the picture.
