I have two sets of the reprinted Ford Service Bulletins that the MTFCI reprinted at one time. These are on fine quality glossy paper; not on a CD and both have the hard cover binder that came with them. These cover only the years 1919, 1920, 1921, and 1922, only, although I have a complete set that I could copy on my printer to complete the sets through the December 1927, but that will entail a lot of time copying at extra expense. What is a fair market value for the two sets (as is) and a complete set (if printed)?

When the MTFCI reprinted these bulletins, they didn't go far enough! First, they didn't punch the three holes in the proper location. Second, they didn't use the glossy paper Ford used which is still being used, and lastly they didn't use the colors Ford used. The positive side is the information is there.

The MTFCI Service Bulletin reprints that I have are exactly the same size as the originals (I have some of them). As Larry Smith pointed out, the top and bottom hole in the binder covers and the accompanying inserts, are punched too far out from the center hole. As to color, my originals are in black and white, as are the reprints. I can notice only a slight difference in the paper quality, and if I reprint any to complete the two sets, I'll use Canon high resolution or glossy photo paper which will probably be as good or better than the original.

I started collecting bulletins over 45 years ago. They were a little easier to find then. Issue # 1 is a yellow/orange format. All the issues after that had a blue border until 1921 or 22. After that, they were black only. Sometime in 1927 they changed to the Model A format. I think it was a good thing that the MTFCI did this, and is a great reference, but I think they should have put more effort into the project.

Thanks for the information, Larry. I only have a complete set of the 1926 and 1927 issues and the MTFCI reprints, so I didn't know any were ever in color. The MTFCI reprints from the first issue in 1919up through 1922 are all in black so I didn't know. Like you said, they are a great reference; much easier to read than the ones printed in the small book about the size of the Ford Service Manual.
