Restoration Supply

Any Forum members living in Califunny, know if a business called Restoration Supply is still in business and is reputable? I haven't ordered from them in decades, but had an old catalog. I texted them or emailed (I don't remember which) about a part. I got a short text back saying they still sold it. No price or any other information given. Makes me leery of doing business with someone who doesn't give out much information.

I believe they attend the Chickasha prewar meet. My catalogue is ten years old, but here's their website: https://restorationstuff.com/

Friend of mine ordered some parts from them this past summer. I believe he said that the lost some inventory in the California fires but are still in business https://restorationstuff.com/ download their catalog
I ordered from than about a year ago without issue - I think you'll find that a lot of parts are no longer available from all suppliers or on back order.

reminds me of a joke; Lady goes to the butcher to buy some pork chops and asks how much - butcher says $3 lbs. Lady says Joe down the street selling them for $1 lbs. Butcher says well go buy them from Joe. Lady says he's sold out. Butcher says if I was sold out I'd sell them for $.50 a lbs

I have bought several things from them over the years and found them very good. I ordered some Delrin rod in November.

Top notch little firm, family runs it, you can find them at most of the large swap meets, like Hershey, as they contribute to the antique auto hobby.

Their website on-line order system is a bit clumsy, the order blank opens by clicking on the lower right icon bar 'Place your Order".

You should know the part # prior to entering the data, or you have to scroll the entire product line via part number, still I use them for lots of little stuff. Just got a package of little ss nuts and bolts and single slot machine screws that local hardware stores just don't offer anymore.

I have ordered from them in the last 6 months and got fast service. Some of their prices may be on the high side, but they are a good company in my OP. As far as asking about a part, they could have been thinking you were looking at a current catalog or on line and were just checking to see if it was in stock before ordering, in which case they would not have needed to give you a price.

They shipped to me in Ontario Canada not that long ago. I always phone to place my orders. Ask them for a new catalog. They do one most years
