I am looking for a supplier who can provide wood for my 1921 Runabout. The folks in Utah can never seem to get around to making it.

I've used wood pieces for my '25 Coupe from Ford Wood in Utah and Classic Wood Products. The products from Classic Wood were the best and response to my order was very timely.

Hi Chris.
I don’t know if you have had experience with the wood kits but just be aware when you get the kit you’ll probably have to do a little fit up here and there as you build it. The wood won’t usually just drop into place.
I have a 22 Roadster, 21 Touring and a late 24 Coupe. I used kits for the Touring and Roadster and a partial kit for the 24 Coupe.
Each car I had to do a little refitting here and there but after all was said and done they worked well.
I contacted the late Leon Parker who helped me to understand that Ford used different body makers for his cars and while the body metal was pretty much alike the wood structure wasn’t always the same.
The body kits will fit but it’s the details that may be a little different.
Hope this helps you. So don’t get discouraged if it happens to be the case when you get it.Good luck!

I used Classic Wood Products for my 26 Fordor and was very pleased, minimal adjustments and excellent fit. Only adjustments needed were to door pillars that were slightly long.

I'd use these folks, they've been in business for well over 50 years now and their stuff fits, whereas some of the parts sold from vendors don't, without a lot of fitting.

I have made several calls to Fordwood, left many messages. All were unanswered. When I was finally able to talk to them they weren't making any wood at that time.

Chis, they're a family owned business, sooo, if somebody gets sick, the whole bloody shop gets it too. There is also a really good chance that they're not open just now also because of all this Covid nonsense.

But their stuff is really nice, the back tack rail and backrest in my touring were made by them. Didn't even have to fit it to my tub, just slipped right in and it fit perfectly.

Fordwood, sets up the shop to build specific runs of parts or kits. They won’t begin producing a 21 roadster kit for instance until they have several orders to make sense in gearing up for it. It’s a bummer and patience is needed but when you do get through to them a do get their parts you’ll be pleased.
