Lang's Old Car Parts sets the standard for dealers in new and refurbished Model T parts, tools, and accessories. They have the best catalogue, the best website, probably the most extensive selection, and unsurpassed customer service. I don't buy a lot of parts, but when I do they are one of my sources.
Why one of my sources? Why not my only source? Because I believe it's a good thing to have multiple sources available. So I will continue to buy from Lang's, and I will continue to buy from Birdhaven, Bob's, Chaffin's, etc. I want to support all our good parts dealers.

Good Steve!
We need to support those that support us!

Couldn't agree more Steve! Same thing goes for your local shops and restaurants. They all need
a little "piece of the pie". This has been one of the worst, most trying times for small retailers since
the Great Depression with little relief in sight for another year. God bless (and help) them all!

That is why I never shop at Walmart. Why send my money to Billionaires in Arkansas? Try to support the grocery chain here in my state and the hardware store down the street. I also stay away from Hobby Lobby because of how they treat women. And it is always fun to drive to Rockford to see Bob and talk. Snyder's and Lang's are too far away to drive over.

I prefer Langs. I know every member of the family, except the babies! They are honest and trustworthy, and don't intentionally lie about parts. I remember when Don and Pat sold parts at Hershey on card tables. They've come a long way. Thanks Don.

I support all the T parts suppliers from time to time. The more the merrier for me and it’s the best thing for the hobby. The parts catalogs are a great source not only for parts but a good way to learn about T ‘s and what makes them tick.
We’ve come a long way from the 50’s and 60’s when the only catalogs that I knew about that had T parts was from JC Whitney and Montgomery Wards.

I have yet to see a Jr Rodeo team with shirts that say "Sponsored by Amazon," or one of the big box stores.
I don't have a store front business anymore but I can tell you that the same people who will drive 100 miles to shop at a big box store or Walmart or on the Internet know where you are when they need Jr. Rodeo buckle money or school newspaper ads or are having a fundraiser for the music department at school, (even though the school bought $6,000 worth of new Cellos from a supplier in New York) ..........................
I try to take care of the people that take care of me.
After 60 years of being in business I'm still a small business.
To paraphrase Gene Autry when Monte Hale was complaining about how hard it was to break in to cowboy movies. "Well, Hell, Monte, if it was easy everybody would be doing it."

I agree that Lang's is great, but I too try to support all of our suppliers. I have found things in the Snyder's catalog that Lang's doesn't carry, and I have purchased a few oddball parts from other suppliers. At present I don't need a new '27 gas tank, but if anyone decides to make a quality replacement I will buy one just to have it in stock.

I like Snyder’s and Lang’s. Me, being in Ohio, will pay sales tax and shipping with Snyder’s. But it shows up next day. I try to spread the wealth between all. I’m about tapped out on these builds though, gotta throttle back.

I agree. I mainly buy from Langs but I buy from the other family owned suppliers as well. Often, I'm aware that I'm doing both at the same time by buying a part from Lang's that I know was manufactured by Chaffins for intstance.
Being a co-owner of a lab supply business, I know first-hand what it's like to compete with giant corporations. It's these massive corporations who not only often treat customers with indifference but also pull the strings of the entrenched politicians who make our lives difficult. We often squabble with each other about politics but a VERY effective way to influence the world around us in a positive way is to buy as little as possible from the massive corporations and buy as much as possible from deserving, family-owned businesses. I'll happily pay more to do so.
