If a low head was installed on a later engine that came with a high head I was wondering what anyone experienced when it was tried?
1- I know compression ratio increased.
2- You had poorer circulation thru the low head thereby increasing heat in the cooling system.
3- Was there an increase in horsepower?
4- Did it affect fuel consumption ?
5- I assume it would be harder to crank by hand, what about with a starter?
6- With a 26-27 engine you would possibly have to modify the fan mounting or go to an older style.
Just kicking thins over in my head and wondering what would happen.

I've never noticed any difference, if there was it would put a demand on low heads but the only demand on low heads is for the T to be period correct if fitted with the wrong one.

My 22 came with a low head and a 3-1 rear axle when I got it. It goes faster on level and downhill, however, need to use Ruckstell more often on hills or even starting out on a slight hill. The car has a low radiator and still doesn't overheat.
