Repo Brass Horn Tubing Vendor

While browsing Ebay I came across this vendor in AU. They sell reproduction horn tube that is made like the original with the cord wrapped in the tubing. Has anyone had any dealings with these folks or purchased their horn tubing? It is quite more costly than the others that is provided by the vendors here in the states. It runs at a little over $30 per foot.

I have no connection with the vendor, just seeing if anyone else has used their product or knew about it.

Thanks

Mark,
When I spoke with the owner Christine, she told me that the tubing is when held out it doesn't collapse under its own weight. I have a 3ft piece of original brass horn tubing that when I hold it out straight it doesn't collapse either. Plus it has the hemp cord wrapped in the tubing like the originals. I've never handled the repo stuff that is available here in the states that all the vendors supply so I can't speak on that side of how it differs from the original. From what I've read on the forums it's pretty limp and not as rigid of the originals, this is what I've read for the speedo tubing as well.

Got some tubing from Restoration Supply in S. Cal a few years ago. Worked fine on my faux ‘09, stiff enough, cord wrapped to make it air tight for horn.

I was going to post the info from Restoration Supply but their search, without down loading the whole catalog, is not user friendly. Thanks Dan.

The question that’s on my mind is original Horn tubing is pretty stiff, from what I’ve read the repo stuff here in the states is pretty limp. Can anyone confirm original vs repo from the vendors here in the states? Speaking with the lady from AU I was told that it’s made like the original.

The one in AU is the same.
Will not hold stiff at 4 ft.
Droops at approx 1 ft extended.
Hope this helps.
