FJ - Legendary Ed Archer Sits For A Visit

Post by FreighTer Jim » Wed Feb 10, 2021 7:47 pm

Ed Archer was kind enough to bring the latest donated
Model T to The MTFCA Museum from San Francisco
to meet me off Hwy 101 👍

After lunch I got him to share his story
In a sit down interview 👍

Enjoy

Great interview. I met Ed for the first time when he came to West Bend, Wisconsin to promote Edy's ice cream with his Model T ice cream truck in 1988 at the grand opening of the Sentry grocery store. Thanks for the memories, Ed!

How do you know it's really him? The mask hides his most noticeable feature!

Ed and Jim, Thank you both for a wonderful interview. Just the right length and a very interesting coverage. BTW, the interview location was over the top too!

I thought that this classic Ed Archer legend only existed in folklore.

Jim, Thanks very much for the post. Ed and the #4 are "One of a Kind" Next should be some video of Ed and the famous speedster for those less informed?

Like Humble Howard Genrich and his Lucky 7 they won't always be around forever so these videos are very important.

At the 2018 Homecoming & Tour in Richmond, Indiana
Ed & his wife were the last to leave a small town
in The Yellow Bullet 🏎

We saw Ed speed past and jumped into our
trouble truck rigs - I caught up with him at the
edge of town where a local 👮‍♀️ was parked.

Ed drove past the 👮‍♀️ at a speed higher than
the limit posted - the 👮‍♀️ just stared with his
mouth open 😳
