Were the water inlet and water outlet/Fan assemblies painted the same color as the engine OR black like starter and generator?

Not building a show car But would since they have yet to be painted, would like to follow tradition.

Would suppose black, can't tell for sure on the real 15th million, shown below, the upper outlet seems as cast, but was likely painted black, same with the lower inlet and the metal pipe, as those parts were added to the block last.


The 15th million today, but the car has had repaint and the engine parts maybe repainted, but the old block finish looks like lacquer moleskin!
