John sold his business to Birdhaven a few years ago. I guess he decided to stop paying to keep his old site on line. Hopefully, the reference material that was on John's site will eventually be migrated over to the Texas T (Birdhaven) site. :)

Many of the wonderful products John used to supply are currently unavailable. I recently tried to purchase some of them for my new project and struck out on all except the brake light switch. I hope this changes quickly, I love the Fun Projects stuff and could use the plastic wood kit for the coil box right now.

Paul....John's plastic coil box rebuild kit is sold through all the vendors. Try your favorite one ASAP before they are out of inventory, if not already.

Thank you, I had not known this. I have always bought all Fun Projects parts directly from John. I got just about everything he made for the '23 over the years as I got into each area.

John made the only new parts I didn't have to worry about fitting correctly. I am sorry some of his stuff is no longer available. Perhaps Bird Haven will get their act together!

Here are a few links that will help you make one and use it. The calculator should really help to get outer ring dimensions. The only input is R. (30 inch felloe + 2 inch outer boarder) / 2 = 16 radius for outer boarder . Cut 4x4 with B = 12-3/8 (I rounded it down see instructions in chart) And the angle would be 67.5 degrees per the links. Would help if those who have made one can confirm the dimensions.

Use it - look closely at the pictures too

Here are John's drawings for the Regan press. The PDF is better, but I can't post it on this software.

There are several versions of a drill guide. I expect you can find them with a Google search. Here's the one I posted recently in another discussion.

I admire you guy's ambition doing your own spoke work. For me I'm a lot happier to make the 2 hour and 5 minute drive to Noah Stutzmans place! Nice scenic drive, he's great to visit with, and doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

I thought if Frank can do it maybe I can too, so I tried it. It does work after all.

I don't know the situation with Birdhaven, but I can say that my experience has always been very good. I do know that in our pool business, the supply chain is "broken". My vendors can't get the raw materials to make anything. Circuit boards, plastics for hot tubs, liners for pools, pumps, filters, nothing. I can't get a fiberglass pool, a replacement pool liner, or an above ground pool at all, this coming season. Even chlorine tablets will be rationed, as they will be in very short supply or not available at all. It could be, Birdhaven is in the same situation as the rest of the manufacturing community.

I want to say a big "THANK YOU " to John Regan for all he has done over many years to help so many in our hobby and Renee for her support of him so he could. They deserve and have earned a long, happy and healthy retirement in my opinion.

May God continue to bless the Regans,

Dom

I just ordered two things from Birdhaven/Texas T/ Fun Projects that John Regan was making. No problems getting them. Mike.

What two things did you find?

A friend has been trying to buy a StroboSpark for two years.
