Throttle and spark Linkage 27 coupe

Hello;
I have been trying to look at old posts to see about the throttle linkage with a vaporizer carb on a 27 coupe. I was wondering if the linkage goes up from the bottom or down from the top of the throttle link on the steering column. Also the throttle link is slightly bent and wondering if the bend goes up or down. Same question for the small spark link.
Thanks Steve

Did you see this 2014 thread? Lots of info on the vaporizer. Check out: www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/411944/416013.html. Jim Patrick

I need to know know more about the small throttle and spark lever arms on the steering shaft and the direction they go on.

There's a pic in this link of the throttle linkage for a conversion carb, but I believe the arm position on the throttle lever shaft is stock for a vaporizer. The arm points upward, so moving the throttle lever down pushes the rod to the vaporizer toward the passenger side of the engine. Hope this helps, jb

and the spark arm is positioned so that moving that lever down ward advances the spark and that requires the timer to be rotated clockwise when viewed from the front of the engine. Meaning the spark arm would be pointing upward, thus pulling the spark rod on the timer to the driver's side of the engine when moving the spark advance handle downward.

These pics are with spark and throttle levers fully retarded (up) on 27 (2 door sedan).

Throttle linkage rod lever is up (1 or 2 oclock) on shaft and stops on steering shaft.

Spark rod lever is at 1 oclock on shaft
