I like what you are doing. The Bakersfield Swap Meet is an integral component to our hobby. We MUST get younger guys and gals involved. Volunteering to help ensure that this exclusively prewar/ brass era event continues is important and will be fun. Therefore, I am following your lead and offering my 60-year-old help with T shirt design and printing and on-site help where needed the day before, during, and after the event.

I’ll donate my refund. I don’t know what what else I can help with from this distance other than being ready to attend.

2021/22 Bakersfield Swap Meet News:To Freighter Jim and all interested in the 2021/22 Bakersfield swap Meet. The ground work has been laid and we have confirmation that the "Bakersfield meet", this year, will be at the Tulare, (California), International Ag Center. This is a fantastic venue and I'm sure you will be pleased with the amenities (Tulare is approximately 50 miles north of Bakersfield right on the 99 Freeway). I've been in contact with Tom Lane and have the full list of Bakersfield vendors. You will be contacted soon through the mail, (snail mail), about the event. The Ag-Center already has a Classic Car Swap - O - Rama scheduled at their facility on May 1, 2021, and we will have a dedicated area adjacent to the classic car area. I realize this is a conflict with the Phoenix event, but I have no control over the dates for this year. We are going to have the entire "Bakersfield" grid laid out at the Ag Center with all the spaces marked as they were in Bakersfield. If you want the same space you've had previously, you will have first crack at it. The spaces are a generous 40x20 at a cost of $50.00 for pre-registeration, ($60.00 the day of the event). This is a larger space for the same money. For 2022, the event will be scheduled on or about the same date as it was previously, (mid-April). This might come as a surprise to some of you, but I hope it is a pleasant surprise. I look forward to seeing you in Tulare in May of this year and again next April. Kind Regards, Bill Bennett
