As suggested, get a couple of quotes. Based on recent experience, I'd expect around $1.50/mile.

If you are transporting interstate, check with these guys

https://easycarshipping.com/

Online estimates from pickup to drop off, fully insured, polite and expert handling of your vehicle with proper air ride trucks and trailers.
Cheaper per mile than most independents, and no back talk or problems. Very professional.
I used them from Ca to Fl and would highly recommend them.

You will have to call them. They only list new cars back to 1941.

Yes, just select the 1941 and post in The comments what you really have, and they will call you to confirm the details. Very professional.
If it’s on wheels - operational or not, they will accommodate you (within reason).
Yours will be traveling with everything from 1900-current. Many high value vehicles on their enclosed trailers.

The reason for this post is that I'm trying to come up with a number if I deliver a car I'm selling. I need only a ball park number for comparison. I have seen $1.00 per mile as typical, but perhaps $1.50 is more normal. I hesitate to request quotes. I did that once before and they were still spamming me a year after.

You're in the driver's seat on this one. Charge what you wish too. The new buyer can decline and get another transport if your price isn't right to the buyer.

Once sold a T and personally delivered it for $500 , from FL to KY, about 600 miles. Worked for both of us.

Sellers will call me requesting transport rates.
I advise them to offer to store a car if
a prospective buyer pays for it in full for
what they believe is a reasonable amount
of time at no charge.

If anything happens to the car while
awaiting pick up - they advise the prospective
buyer they are not responsible because
the storage is provided as a courtesy.

A serous buyer will arrange their own transport.

If you sell a car - you have no interest in it
legally once the transaction is completed.

So - if you transport a car you have sold ...

You stand to give back the money you received
if the car is damaged while in your care.

Your insurance won’t honor a claim
because you don’t own the car.

You stand to gain nothing and lose everything.

If your agreement to sell your car includes
delivering it - find another buyer 💡
